NDP MP Charlie Angus Launches Campaign for Suicide Prevention Action Plan
NDP Indigenous youth critic Charlie Angus speaks to reporters about his motion (M-174) calling for a national action plan on suicide prevention. The plan would include establishing culturally appropriate community-based suicide prevention programs, creating a national public health monitoring program to prevent suicide and identify at-risk groups, and establishing national standards for training people engaged in suicide prevention.
