Experts Discuss Middle East Security and Human Rights in Iran
The Institute For Peace and Diplomacy holds an event in Ottawa featuring experts from Canada and the U.S. to discuss the situation on the ground in Iran as well as the geopolitical implications of the ongoing tensions in the region. Tara Sepehri Far (Iran researcher from Human Rights Watch) speaks on the first panel, which is titled "Iran people stuck between repression and sanctions". The second panel focuses on whether recent tensions between Iran and the U.S. will lead to another war in the Middle East and features Mahsa Rouhi (research fellow, Non-Proliferation and Nuclear Policy Programme, The International Institute for Strategic Studies) and Thomas Juneau (associate professor, Graduate School of Public and International Affairs, University of Ottawa).
