COVID-19: PM Trudeau Announces Aid for Businesses – March 27, 2020
Speaking with reporters outside his home in Ottawa, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announces a series of measures to assist small- and medium-sized business affected by the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak. The provisions include a 3-month, 75-per-cent wage subsidy; the deferral of GST/HST payments and import duties; and government-backed, interest-free bank loans.
