Manitoba Premier Announces Deal to Buy Canada-Made COVID-19 vaccines
At a press conference in Winnipeg, Manitoba Premier Brian Pallister makes an announcement on COVID-19 vaccine procurement. He announces that the province has reached an agreement with Providence Therapeutics to purchase two million doses of its Canada-made coronavirus vaccine candidate. The agreement with the company based in Alberta will see Manitoba receiving the first 200,000 doses produced as soon as the vaccine is approved by Health Canada.
