NDP Leader Discusses COVID-19 Support for Small Businesses – May 4, 2021
During a virtual press conference, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh discusses the need to provide more support to small businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. He is joined by Brian Masse (NDP MP, Windsor West), Tracey Ramsey (NDP candidate for Essex in the next federal election and former MP) and Michelle Rawlins (small business owner in Essex). The NDP has called for the implementation of an excess profit tax for big corporations. The party says the estimated $8 billion in federal government revenue that this tax would generate can be used to help small businesses. (no interpretation)
