National Defence - February 9, 2022: Defence Minister Anita Anand briefs the committee on her ministerial mandate letter. Minister Anand provides an overview of the Liberal government's top defence priorities and the actions taken by her department. She also answers questions on the delay in implementing sexual misconduct reforms outlined in the Deschamps report, the independence of the National Defence and Canadian Armed Forces ombudsman's office, and the government's stance on sending military reinforcements to frontline NATO states such as Estonia.
