The International Institute of Communications (IIC) Canada held its 2011 annual conference in Ottawa from November 28th to 29th. This year's theme was: "Competition, Innovation and Applications: Towards a Digital Economy for Canada." On November 29th, Bernard Lord (president and CEO, Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association) sat down with Konrad Von Finckenstein to discuss his term as CRTC chairman. Von Finckenstein started the job in January 2007 and will serve until his term ends on January 24, 2012.
