Windsor West

CPAC’s Laura DiBattista looks at the riding of Windsor West where the introduction of star Liberal candidate Sandra Pupatello has made an otherwise safe NDP seat a riding to watch. Ms. Pupatello is a former Liberal MPP and finished second to Kathleen Wynne for the Ontario Liberal leadership in 2013. Her main adversary is Brian Masse, the veteran New Democrat who has held this riding since winning it in a byelection in 2002. The Conservative is Henry Lau and Quinn Hunt is the Green Party candidate; both have been a part of the city’s iconic auto industry, which is facing many challenges on several fronts and is a key election issue in this southwestern Ontario riding.
